“The purpose of art is not the release of a momentary ejection of adrenaline but rather the gradual, lifelong construction of a state of wonder and serenity.”
―Glenn Gould

Chelsea believes in training her students to be "complete" musicians, no matter their age or level. Her curriculum reflects this holisitic approach: students build and hone a solid technical foundation, learn active and objective listening skills, gain a firm knowledge of theory and music history, explore and expand their own unique interpretive abilities, and are exposed to a wide variety of music, literature and art, which stimulates critical thought, and encourages an engagement with classical music and music-making in broader, richer, more interdisciplinary terms. Chelsea teaches with empathy, patience, and humility, and it is her goal to present learning the piano as a creative, and wholly immersive art form.

Chelsea runs Clinton HiIl Piano Studio in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, where she offers private lessons and chamber ensemble coaching.
