AMERICAN MAVERICKS

The American Mavericks Project celebrates seldom-heard, newly discovered and contemporary solo piano music by Black American composers 1900-present, with emphasis on 21st c composers, through commissions, performances, educational initiatives and research. Featured composers include: Regina Harris Baiocchi, Adolphus Hailstork, Jonathan Bailey Holland, Julius Eastman, Dorothy Rudd Moore, Undine Smith Moore, Joyce Solomon Moorman, Jeffrey Mumford, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Daniel Bernard Roumain, Mary D. Watkins and George Walker.
